Start with the order unit
A displayed tier can refer to a particular quantity, option or unit. Confirm whether a quotation concerns one piece, a pair, a set or a carton. Record the minimum quantity for the exact variation you want, not just the headline on a supplier page.
Use a sample to answer a question
A sample order is most useful when you already know what you want to learn: fit, material, construction, finish or function. Record the inspected sample details so the later bulk order has a reference to compare against. A sample does not guarantee that every later unit will match.
Separate purchase and transport costs
Keep domestic delivery, optional inspection, packing, international freight and destination charges separate from the item subtotal. Bulkier goods can change the transport comparison even when their scale weight is modest. Our retail versus wholesale guide provides a decision method.
Send a useful wholesale request
Give your sample quantity, likely bulk quantity, target country, required measurements or specifications and desired inspection points. Mark a budget as a target, not a claimed supplier price. The on-site form can record these requirements before a quote is prepared.
